Blonde Reef in Big Island is an exposed reef break that has quite consistent surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Ideal winds are from the south. Clean groundswells prevail and the ideal swell angle is from the northeast. A right hand reef break. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Beware of urchins, rocks, locals and sharks.
