Cannon Beach in Mainland is an exposed beach break that has inconsistent surf. Summer offers the best conditions for surfing. Offshore winds are from the northeast. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the best swell direction is from the west southwest. Waves at the beach break both left and right. The location means that it never gets crowded. Watch out for dangerous rips.
