Chacopata in Sucre is an exposed reef break that has consistent surf. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the southwest. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the northeast. A choice of left and right reefs. Sometimes crowded. Take care of rocks and sharks.
