El Zonte in Costa del Balsamo is an exposed reef,point and rivermouth break that has very consistent surf Ideal winds are from the north northeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the south southwest. There is a left hand reef break Best around high tide when the tide is rising. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Watch out for rips and rocks.
