Etang-Sale in West Reunion is an exposed reef break that has consistent surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the southeast. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south southwest. There is a left hand reef break. A fairly popluar wave that can sometimes get crowded Beware of Urchin and sharks.
