Galheta do Norte in Santa Caterina is an exposed beach break that usually has waves and can work at any time of the year. Works best in offshore winds from the northwest with some shelter here from south winds. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southeast. The beach breaks peel to the right. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Take care to avoid the rocks.
