Goat Rock in Sonoma is an exposed beach break that does not work very often Works best in offshore winds from the northeast with some shelter here from northwest winds. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. The beach break provides left and right handers. Best around low tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Take care of rips and sharks.
