Ko-Chan(Hedo Point) in Okinawa is an exposed reef break that has pretty consitent surf. Summer offers the optimum conditions for surfing. The best wind direction is from the southwest. Most of the surf comes fis in the form of windswells and the ideal wave angle is from the east. Reef breaks provide lefts and rights. It very rarely gets crowded here. Hazards include coral and sharks.
