La Costa in Lima is a reasonably exposed break. that is usually a safe bet. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the east northeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the south.. It very rarely gets crowded here.
