Lokaro Island in Antanosy is an exposed reef break that has consistent surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the west northwest. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south. There are left and right breaking reefs. Rarely crowded here. Beware of rips, rocks and sharks.
