Motels in Tongatapu is a quite exposed reef break that has dependable surf. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the southeast. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. A reef breaks left. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Take care of coral.
