Nunoshima in Shikoku is an exposed beach break that has quite consistent surf The best wind direction is from the northwest. Windswells are much more typical than groudswells and the ideal wave angle is from the southeast. The beach breaks peel to the left. Watch out for rocks.

Mates, it's a hoax. Don't even bother. This place is nothing more than a rock strewn shore break tucked into the side of rather filthy harbor. Between the surly locals and the sharks that cruise on the outside of the bay most people's opinion is that it's simply better to keep driving to the beaches further south on the Tokushima/Kochi border. Do yourselves a favor and give this area a miss. Do check out the super clean and beautiful Ikumi beach though -- a real gem and considered the best spot to surf in this area by most people.
