Outer Kom in Cape Peninsula is an exposed reef and point break that has quite consistent surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the northeast. Able to handle light onshore wind Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the west. A choice of left and right reefs. Relatively few surfers here, even on good days. Beware of sharks,kelp, rips urchins.
