Pitas Point in Ventura is a fairly exposed reef and point break that has fairly consistent surf. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the northeast with some shelter here from northwest winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the west northwest. Both right (best) and left reef breaks. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Take care to avoid the rocks.
