Playa Santa Maria in Baja Norte is an exposed beach break that has reasonably consistent surf. Summer offers the best conditions for surfing. Offshore winds blow from the northeast. Clean groundswells prevail and the optimum swell angle is from the south. Waves at the beach break both left and right. Rarely crowded here. Surfing here means negotiating dangerous rips.
