Playa de Barra in Galicia is a sheltered beach break that has inconsistent surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the northeast with some shelter here from northwest winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southwest. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded.
