Playa de Ris in Cantabria is a reasonably exposed beach break that has fairly consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. The best wind direction is from the southeast. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the northwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Best around high tide. Likely to be crowded if working. Crowds may reach hazard levels at this break - consider wearing a lid.
