Playa de San Martin in Asturias is an exposed beach break that has quite reliable surf and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the south southeast. Handles onshore winds better than most spots Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the northwest. Waves at the beach break both left and right. Best around low tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Watch out for dangerous rips.
