Pointe des Trois Bassins in West Reunion is an exposed reef/rivermouth break that has very reliable surf. Summer offers the best conditions for surfing. Works best in offshore winds from the northeast. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the optimum swell angle is from the north. Reef breaks provide lefts and rights. A fairly popluar wave that can sometimes get crowded Hazards include urchins, sharks,fire coral.
