Portao in Ceara is an exposed reef/pier break that has very consistent surf. Summer offers the best conditions for surfing. The best wind direction is from the south southwest with some shelter here from east winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the north. Both left and right reef breaks. Best around low tide. Often Crowded. Beware of rocks and pollution.
