Porth Towyn on Lleyn is a fairly exposed beach break that does not work very often. Winter and spring are the best times of year to visit. The best wind direction is from the southeast. Waves more likely to be from local windswells than distant groundswells and the ideal wave angle is from the southwest. Waves at the beach break both left and right. Best around high tide when the tide is falling. Be wary of rips - they make surfing here dangerous.
