Praia Preta in Sao Paulo is a fairly exposed beach break that usually has waves. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the northwest with some shelter here from southwest winds. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south. The beach break provides left and right handers. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded.
