Princeton Breakwater in San Mateo is an exposed beach/Jetty break that usually has waves and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the northeast with some shelter here from northwest winds. Clean groundswells prevail and the best swell direction is from the southwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Best around low tide. Often Crowded. Beware of rocks and sharks.
