Rags Left in Sumatra (Mentawi Islands) is an exposed reef break that has dependable surf. May-Oct (Dry Season) is the favoured time of year for waves. Offshore winds are from the east. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. A left hand reef. Rarely crowded here. Watch out for rocks.
