Talisker Bay in Skye is a very sheltered beach break. Autumn and winter are the optimum times of year for waves. Offshore winds blow from the northeast with some shelter here from north winds. Waves can be ok even in light onshore winds Groundswells and windswells are equally likely and the ideal swell angle is from the south southwest. The beach break provides left and right handers. Even when the surf is up, crowds are unknown.
