‘Coolum surf: 2.5 metres(8') 15-20 knots ESE. Feels a little warmer today! We have around 2-3ft ESE swell but messy uneven conditions. Try points and southern corners early as the wind picks up head to the points on the low tide. Noosa clean but small.’

Overcast with showers again with 2-3ft. of uneven, messy ESE swell. The winds are from the SSW early, they're forecast to go ESE late and it's not looking good. Try the points and the S corners early as the open beaches are a way too messy. Small ones at Noosa will be the cleanest option as the tide drops during the morning

‘10-25 knots SE. The bluff at Alex is looking good early with the lighter winds. Maroochy stretch has heaps of good banks, best on the half tides. Open beaches offering more size but affected by the wind. Mt Coolum and Mudjimba areas have fun shore breaks on offer.’

The above surf forecast table for The Reef provides essential information for determining whether the surfing conditions will be good over the next 6 days. A general guide to surfing at The Reef can be found by selecting the local surf guide option on the grey menu. Our The Reef surf forecast is unique since it includes wave energy (power) that defines the real feel of the surf rather than just the height or the period. If you surf the same spot (The Reef) regularly then make a mental note of the wave energy from the surf forecast table each time you go. Very soon you may start to choose your surf days based on the wave energy alone combined with our forecast of favourable offshore wind conditions. Our star ratings will help here and of course you will also find the usual wave height and period predictions on our surf forecasts as well as a full break down of the swell components under our advanced users option (to reveal that, click the little Einstein character under the tide times).
