Thurso Beach on the North Coast is a fairly exposed beach break that has pretty consitent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the south. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the northwest. The beach break provides left and right handers. It's sometimes crowded here. The water quality here is rather suspect.
