Windansea in San Diego County is an exposed reef break that has reasonably consistent surf. Summer offers the optimum conditions for surfing. Works best in offshore winds from the east. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. The right reef break is best, but there is a left reef too.. Good surf at all stages of the tide.
