Yacila in Piura is an exposed beach break that has unreliable waves. Summer offers the favoured conditions for surfing. Works best in offshore winds from the east southeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the northwest. Waves at the beach break both left and right. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Watch out for dangerous rips.
