Pichilemu in Santiago is an exposed reef and point break that has very consistent waves. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the east. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southwest. A left hand reef break and there is a left hand point break too. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Submerged rocks are a hazard.
