Playa de Ondarreta(Pico del Tenis in Pais Vasco is a sheltered beach break that has quite reliable surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the south. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the northwest. Waves at the beach break both left and right. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Sometimes crowded. Overcrowding can even make surfing hazardous.
