- bruh Kelly slater here its real choppy and there's a couple sharks that'll happily nibble your toes. onshore is killing the waves and its not very ʻoluʻolu
- Low tide Thursday afternnon started glassy and just waist to chest-high with 3 SUPS out. A north breeze put some lump on it for a while and the SUPers left but it cleaned up as the tide pushed and got a bit bigger too with some good shoulder high sets at dusk. Showers with some lightning. Mild.
- Overcast and wind but the glassy waves were a touch too small at high tide and breaking very shallow -say chest to shoulder high. No takers while I was there. Looks like one of those swells that has a bit too much west in it for the modest size for Nelson. Blame Farewell Spit. Whangamoa area would probably be much better today.

“Salve propetari scortesi maleducati arroganti lido da evitare pur pagando con bonifico istantaneo, il girono di ferragosto non sono riuscito ad entrare e prendere possesso della mia postazione sono stato letteralmente buttato fuori solamente perche avevamo visioni diverse su alcune regole non mi hanno nemmeno restituito il bonifico che avevo effettuato.Adesso capisco il perche era l'unico lido vuoto, parlando con diversi personi locali tutti hanno detto la stessa cosa si vergognano di loro di come trattano i turisti un consiglio EVITATELI.”
