Almiros Beach in Crete is a reasonably exposed beach break that only works once in a while with no particular seasonal pattern. Offshore winds blow from the west and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Waves can be ok even in light onshore winds There is too little fetch for groundswells to form and the best wave direction is from the northeast. Waves at the beach break both left and right. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Take care of lifeguards.
