| GhettoJoe | I remember this day. The warm, crystal blue waters of the Gulfstream pushed into VB for a few hours offering up chest high perfection. I grabbed my trusty Gerry Lopez Lightning Bolt and made a mad dash for 1st Street. Upon arrival I noticed Sea Turtles and Pelicans frolicking in the shore break. They motioned to me to come join them, but I thought I had better get out the back quickly to enjoy the sweet tropical waves that were on offer. After 3 hours surfing these nuggets of goodness, the wind switched onshore, the water got colder, and dark ominous clouds came rolling in. Looking back on it now, it still gives me a smile. It was the best February session of my life. |
