This was my bread and butter spot my first year here. 30 minute taxi ride from the city. Usually surfed it alone. Now, there's a S.U.P. shop there...probably more crowded now...other uncrowded spots nearby...south...The rocky Jin Shan spot a little further up north is very popular and rarely gets good. Shui Wei has some NE wind protection : ) The General Hot Springs is nearby. It's very nice after a winter surf session. Also, I enjoy the views and rock formations here.
