Halape Surf Guide
Halape in Big Island is an exposed reef break that has dependable surf. Summer offers the best conditions for surfing. Offshore winds blow from the northwest. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the south southeast. There are left and right breaking reefs. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Beware of rips, rocks and sharks.
