Junquillal Surf Guide
Junquillal in Guanacaste is an exposed beach break that is usually a safe bet. Nov-April (Wet Season) provides best time of year for waves. Offshore winds are from the northwest. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the southwest. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. Best around high tide. Relatively few surfers here, even on good days. Surfing here means negotiating dangerous rips.
