In 1996 when i came back from my first trip in 1994 , I brought 2 boards , a mal and a shortboard . I got of the plane in KK and all i heard was "Theres no Surf in Sabah". But what they meant was there's no real big swells in Sabah , due to the South China Sea being a Sea and not a Ocean they dont get ocean swells , just wind swell. If your looking for fun size up to 4ft (Aussie size) all you need to do is have a look and pick the season then ah la.
