Las Gaviotas in Tenerife is a fairly exposed beach and reef break that does not work very often. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the northwest. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the south southeast. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. Best around mid tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Beware of cliffs at high tide.
