Magheraroarty Reef in Donegal is a reasonably exposed point break that has inconsistent surf. Summer in particular tends to be flat. Offshore winds blow from the south and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Easily blown out by an onshore breeze Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the optimum swell angle is from the north northwest. No point break here and a left hand reef break too. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It very rarely gets crowded here. Take care of rocks in the line up.
