Playa Ballena Surf Guide
Playa Ballena in Puerto Rico is a reasonably exposed sandbar break that has quite reliable surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Offshore winds blow from the northwest with some shelter here from west winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the optimum swell angle is from the south. Waves at the sandbar break both left and right. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Watch out for dangerous rips.
