Playa de Cueva Surf Guide
Playa de Cueva in Asturias is a quite exposed river break that only works once in a while. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the southeast with some shelter here from southwest winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the northwest. Waves at the river are both lefts and rights. Best around high tide. It very rarely gets crowded here. Dangerous rips are a hazard of surfing here.
