Point of Ness on the North Coast is an exposed point/pier break that has reasonably consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the east with some shelter here from north winds. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the ideal swell angle is from the west northwest. Best around high tide. It very rarely gets crowded here. Watch out for dangerous rips.
