Sandy Bay Surf Guide
Sandy Bay in County Kerry is a sheltered beach break that has fairly consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the west. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the north northwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up.
