The best wind direction is from the north northeast with some shelter here from north winds. Able to handle light onshore wind Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. Waves at the beach break both left and right and there is also a left hand reef break. Best around low tide when the tide is rising. The location means that it never gets crowded.
