There were bigger properly overhead sets but this was as close as I got to a cover-up. Wind was cross-off as forecast and the swell and the period fitted the forecast too but there was quite a lot of short period energy that made it confusing at times. Also some waves reflecting off the Archway Islands so good but not classic Wharariki.
