The best wind direction is from the southeast and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Easily blown out by an onshore breeze Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the west southwest. The beach breaks peel to the left and in addition, there is also a left hand point break. Best around low tide. The location means that it never gets crowded. Dangerous rips are a hazard of surfing here.
