Anse Severe Surf Guide
Anse Severe in La Digue is a sheltered reef break that does not work very often. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the southeast with some shelter here from east winds. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the north. Even when the surf is up, crowds are unknown. Take care of rips, rocks, shallow reef.
