British Beach in Efate is an exposed beach break that has consistent surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the north northeast with some shelter here from east southeast winds. Groundswells and windswells are equally likely and the ideal swell direction is from the south. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Surfing here means negotiating dangerous rips.
