Works best in offshore winds from the south southeast and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the north. There is no reef break. Good surf at all stages of the tide. A fairly popluar wave that can sometimes get crowded Hazards include urchins, rips, rocks and sharks.
